Squamous Cell Skin Cancer Survival

Most patients with SCC will have a favorable treatment result. But a small number of patients will develop metastasis (spreading), and up to 15,000 patients die each year from their disease, exceeding the number of deaths from cutaneous melanoma. For those at greatest risk, additional treatment and follow-up procedures are available.
